EU Right of Withdrawal

This page and form are for eligible consumers located in the European Union who have purchased goods online from BARE Equestrian.

You may have the right to withdraw from an eligible online purchase within 14 calendar days without providing a reason.

For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins when you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. If goods from the same order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally begins when the final item is received.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly notify us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires. You may use the online form below, but using this form is not compulsory. You may also notify us by email or another clear written statement using the contact details below.

After notifying us, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after the date you communicated your decision to withdraw.

Submitting a withdrawal notice does not remove your responsibility to return the goods in accordance with the return instructions provided to you.

Important Information

Withdrawal and return deadlines

You must notify us of your decision to withdraw within the applicable 14-day withdrawal period.

After notifying us, you must send the goods back within a further 14 calendar days. The return deadline is met where the goods are sent before that period expires.

Please retain your proof of postage or shipment tracking information.

A withdrawal notice submitted outside the statutory withdrawal period may be declined, subject to your applicable legal rights. Returns sent outside the return period may also be reviewed before being accepted.

Return costs

Unless otherwise stated by BARE Equestrian, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods under the EU right of withdrawal.

This does not apply where an item is faulty, damaged when supplied, incorrectly supplied or not as described. Please contact our customer service team before returning goods in those circumstances.

Condition of returned goods

You may inspect and try on the goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, fit and functioning, as you would generally be permitted to do in a retail store.

You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling or use beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

This may include goods returned with signs of wear, washing, riding or other use, damage, dirt, makeup, deodorant, animal hair, strong odours, stretching or other handling beyond a reasonable fitting.

Where the value of an item has been reduced, we may make a reasonable deduction from the refund that reflects the actual reduction in value. We will assess and document the condition of the returned goods before making any deduction.

Refunds

Where a valid right of withdrawal is exercised, we will reimburse the payments covered by the withdrawal, including the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option, where applicable.

We are not required to reimburse additional delivery charges resulting from your choice of an upgraded or express delivery service.

We will generally make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after being informed of your decision to withdraw.

For returned goods, we may withhold reimbursement until:

  • We have received the returned goods; or
  • You have supplied evidence that the goods have been sent back,

whichever occurs first.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed. You will not be charged a fee for receiving the reimbursement.

Where only part of an order is withdrawn, the amount of any original delivery charge to be refunded will depend on whether that charge would have applied to the goods you have retained.

Returning the goods

After submitting your withdrawal notice, please follow the return instructions sent to you by email.

Goods must be securely packaged and sent back no later than 14 calendar days after you notify us of your decision to withdraw.

Please retain your proof of postage or shipment tracking information until your return and refund have been completed.

Exclusions

The EU right of withdrawal does not apply in all circumstances. Relevant exclusions may include:

  • Goods made to your specifications;
  • Clearly personalised goods;
  • Sealed goods that are genuinely unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken; and
  • Other goods or contracts excluded under applicable consumer law.

Custom-made or personalised BARE Equestrian products, including products made using customer-selected measurements, colours, embroidery or other individual specifications, may not be eligible for withdrawal.

A product is not excluded merely because it was purchased during a sale or promotion.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

This form is for exercising the EU right of withdrawal following an eligible online purchase.

Separate consumer rights apply where goods are faulty, damaged when supplied, incorrectly supplied or not as described. Please contact our customer service team before returning those goods so we can provide the appropriate assistance and return instructions.

Nothing on this page limits any mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable law.
