Emmaleigh Evans

My name is Emmaleigh Evans, I’m 22 years old and based in Perth, Western Australia.

I have been fortunate to compete successfully across a range of levels within the sport of eventing, earning multiple wins and placings throughout WA. I consider myself an established FEI rider, whom is passionate about producing horses correctly from the ground up!
Beyond competing, I am deeply involved in the equine industry. I own and manage Equine Industries Australia, where I offer agistment, coaching, equine cryotherapy, and arena hire. With plans to continue completing my Equestrian Australia Level 1 Coaching qualification so I can continue to grow my coaching career!
Looking ahead, my goal is to keep progressing in the sport of Eventing, with the hope of representing Western Australia on the national and international stage. I'm passionate about continuing to develop horses, grow my business, and support riders in achieving their own goals.
Quick Questions with Emmaleigh
I COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT THIS BARE PRODUCT BECAUSE…
I genuinely couldn't live without my BARE Sculpt Hybrid Riding Breeches. I already own three pairs... and somehow I've got another two sitting in my cart waiting to be ordered! They're by far the most comfortable breeches I've ever ridden in and have become an everyday staple.
MY MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IS...
Attending Badminton this year - Meeting and taking photos with Roz, Tim and Harry was truly a pinch me moment.
Also having the opportunity to tour Laura Collett's yard in the Cotswolds was an unforgettable experience!!
MY FAVOURITE EXERCISE OR TRAINING TO PRACTICE IS…
Grid work, without a doubt! I can't recommend it enough, especially when producing young horses. It's such a valuable exercise for building confidence, improving technique, and developing rideability for both horse and rider.

THE LAST THING I THINK ABOUT BEFORE ENTERING THE ARENA IS…
The very last thing I whisper to myself is, have fun! It’s very easy to get sucked into the competitive side of the sport, but regardless of how the result made you feel, if you had fun doing it, that’s the biggest thing that matters!
BEST COMPETITION DAY TIP...
Remember everything you’ve been training!! Don’t let your mind go blank the second you enter the ring, repeat and repeat, until you get sick of hearing yourself!!
RIGHT NOW I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO...
Spending 3 months in the UK...
Oops, I guess the secret's officially out now!

MY TOP 3 BARE PICKS ARE…
-
AIRFLOW Carbon Brushing Boots
These have been my go-to schooling boots since 2021, which says everything about their quality. They've stood up to years of daily riding, training, travelling and competing, and they're still going strong. I love that they provide excellent protection without being bulky, and the airflow design helps keep my horses' legs cool, even during long training sessions or on hot summer days. -
BARE Winter Series - Hollie Jacket
The Hollie Jacket is my winter essential. It's incredibly warm without feeling heavy or restrictive, making it perfect for early morning rides, coaching, and long days at competitions. It keeps me comfortable through the colder months while still looking stylish enough to wear at home and out. -
BARE Ladies Signature Socks
These are, without a doubt, the best riding socks I've owned. They're the only socks that actually last… They're soft, breathable, fit perfectly under my boots, and I never have to worry about them slipping or bunching while I ride.
