Step-by-Step: Bright Whites Every Time

Follow these steps for a breech-cleaning routine that actually works:

  1. Spot treat first: Spray any stained areas with your favourite stain remover. Don’t skip this step—prevention is better than cure.
  2. Soak smart: Add a capful of a gentle soaker to a bucket.
  3. Cold water only: Fill the bucket with cold water (hot water can set stains). Add your white breeches and gently agitate with your hand to make sure they're fully submerged.
  4. Let them soak: Leave to soak for 12 to 24 hours. Yes, it’s a long soak, but trust the process.
  5. Agitate again: After soaking, give them another gentle hand-agitation, focusing on any remaining stain spots.
  6. Machine wash: Transfer your breeches to the washing machine—alone or with other whites only. Wash on a cold, gentle cycle.
  7. Admire the results: Your breeches should come out looking bright and clean. Ready for another ride—and another wash.
