Step-by-Step: Bright Whites Every Time
Follow these steps for a breech-cleaning routine that actually works:
- Spot treat first: Spray any stained areas with your favourite stain remover. Don’t skip this step—prevention is better than cure.
- Soak smart: Add a capful of a gentle soaker to a bucket.
- Cold water only: Fill the bucket with cold water (hot water can set stains). Add your white breeches and gently agitate with your hand to make sure they're fully submerged.
- Let them soak: Leave to soak for 12 to 24 hours. Yes, it’s a long soak, but trust the process.
- Agitate again: After soaking, give them another gentle hand-agitation, focusing on any remaining stain spots.
- Machine wash: Transfer your breeches to the washing machine—alone or with other whites only. Wash on a cold, gentle cycle.
- Admire the results: Your breeches should come out looking bright and clean. Ready for another ride—and another wash.
