Michelle Baker is one of Australia's most accomplished and decorated FEI Dressage riders and needs no introduction. For those lucky enough to have spent time with Michelle will know her for her gentle and kind demeanor that transcends through all she does from training, riding and teaching. I COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT THIS BARE PRODUCT BECAUSE…
BARE performance tights because they are so comfortable. I can ride, work, coach, compete and work out in them.
MY MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IS…
I feel lucky everyday to be able to do something I love. Since moving to VIC I decided not to have a groom so I do all the day to day care and training with every horse. Now every day has many simple and enjoyable moments. However, my very favourite/memorable moments in the sport of dressage would have to be every time I ride a Grand Prix freestyle… there is nothing like it.
MY FAVOURITE EXERCISE OR TRAINING TO PRACTICE IS…
Master the laterals. They will get your horse supple and keep them supple.
BEST COMPETITION DAY ADVICE...
Best tip for competing is to be well prepared and organised. Discover your best competition mindset and implement strategies that help you acheive this. I compete best when I am focused, calm and enjoying myself.
Also never blame your horse. It’s your choice to compete so make your horse’s job easy.
THE LAST THING I THINK ABOUT BEFORE ENTERING THE ARENA IS…
It’s more a feeling of calm excitement that I feel. If I’m well prepared I think ‘let’s go’ if preparation hasn’t gone to plan I think ‘nothing to lose, nothing to prove.. let’s go’

MY TOP 3 BARE PICKS ARE…
I have too many Bare favourites to pick so these are currently my most used:
- Bare performance tights. (Thermo fit in winter) They look good feel good and I wear them everywhere!
- Technical riding shirts. They look smart and keep me sun safe and cool during summer
- Bare Winter Hollie Jacket Whilst it’s not getting any use in summer I couldn’t get through winter without it.
