Step 1: Remove Dirt and Hair

Brush off excess hair from the pad. This will also help loosen the sweat and dirt.

Step 2: Treat Stains

Spray a good quality stain or spot remover to heavily marked and soiled areas. Leave to soak as per instructions on the bottle before placing in machine.

Step 3: Machine Wash with Care

Pop into the machine with a stain removing powder. You can use one designed for whites on your white pads (make sure you choose a colour safe option for coloured pads!)

Add some washing liquid like wool wash or MELP. Avoid harsh chemicals to protect the sheepskin.

NOTE: Help protect the integrity of the sheepskin and take it easy on the detergents and don't overdo it.

Step 4: Select a Gentle Cycle

Choose a WOOL or GENTLE cycle on your machine.

Step 5: Dry Properly

The pad will come out wetter than on a normal cycle. Ensure you hang over a clothes horse or flat, out of direct sun, to drip dry.

Voila! Clean pad ready for your next competition.
