Nina & Anna-Sophia Boyd
Nina Boyd is the talented head of Canberra Performance Horses, who is well respected for training, competing and coaching high performance dressage horses. Having trained in Germany as a young rider, Nina has continued to expand her skills to offer the very best for elite horses, as well as successfully competing at national level.
Her daughter Anna-Sophia is following closely in her footsteps, proving herself as a talented and exciting young rider to watch over the coming years.

There are too many wonderful memories to choose from, but I especially love sharing my passion for horses and knowledge with other equestrians.
MY FAVOURITE EXERCISE OR TRAINING TO PRACTICE IS…
I find joy in perfecting simple transitions such as trot to medium walk and back to working trot, as well as trot to canter and back to trot. Additionally, I love enhancing my balance by riding without stirrups to improve the horse's natural movement. Strengthening these foundational skills lays the groundwork for mastering higher-level movements in the future.
THE LAST THING I THINK ABOUT BEFORE ENTERING THE ARENA IS…
I focus on balancing the imaginary egg between the horse's ears and maintaining rhythm.
RIGHT NOW I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO…
I am excited to continue training the exceptional young horses I currently have in work and talented riders as we progress through the levels together.
